Version 5.2.7.0 (10-Jul-2008)

This is a patch release of PerfectBackup Manager that contains minor enhancements and bug fixes (listed below). All v5.2.x users are recommended to upgrade to this release.

  • Integration with other applications (e.g. Microsoft Exchange, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server)

    1. Enhancement (5.2.6.3) - Speed up changed backup file list generation process by eliminating unnecessary event handlers and generating change list using a single pass. You can expect a 10% - 20% speed improvement.

    3. Bug fixed (5.2.6.4) - Fixed a bug introduced in 5.2.6.3 which causes updated backup files to be classified as pairs of new and deleted files for non-file backup sets (e.g. Exchange, Oracle backup sets). This causes backup files to be uploaded to the PerfectBackup server in full and then deleted from the server immediately in each backup job. All affected users are recommended to upgrade to 5.2.6.4 to fix this problem..
    4. Bug fixed (5.2.6.5) - PerfectBackup Manager will now exclude all Solaris door files from backup set automatically
